Megan and Brett visit Lewes often to see their family here, which lead them to finding Hopkins Heartland. They love that the town of Lewes focuses on history and nature, and Hopkins Heartland also prides itself on those two things.
“We loved how Hopkins preserved the original structures of the farm while incorporating beautiful updated features. We were looking for something that had the capacity to hold our unique style and personality, and Hopkins’s three day weekend stay gave us the space and time to fully customize our dream wedding.“
Megan and Brent chose to DIY all of their decor which was made possible by booking the wedding weekend. They had Thursday and Friday to do a majority of their setup which helped ease their mind of getting it all done.
One of Megan and Brent’s favorite moments of the weekend was getting to watch the sunrise on the farmhouse’s front porch with a cup of coffee on the morning of their wedding. “ It was a lovely quiet moment before a busy and amazing day.”
They danced the night away with the Blue Label Band and all of their favorite people. Some of which even surprised them with a “Texas Two-Step” Family Dance with floral cowboy boots and hats!
Megan and Brent were so calm the whole weekend, they knew they just wanted to enjoy the day with their closest family and friends and that is exactly what they did.
