"They made it any easy and joyful experience, and we would highly recommend your wedding at Hopkins Heartland."
I love sharing our family farm with guests from every walk of life. I returned home after 2 decades in the field of Veterinary Nursing and Horse training to restore the family’s 200 year old farmhouse into a B&B. Hospitality was a natural fit for me and the farmhouse, equally.
I found my groove as an Innkeeper and realized that I connect with people just as well as animals. The progression to weddings was destined, with the Inn providing the perfect accessory to a farm wedding. As a hopeless romantic and unwavering people pleaser, my role as venue owner was solidified.
Watching the transformation of my clients is the highlight of my work; seeing the timid bride & groom-to-be become the confident and radiant life partners. We become part of each other’s family, with a bond that lasts a lifetime. By providing a path, encouragement, and empathy, the newlyweds become the main attraction, and the farm is the shining backdrop. Pure fulfillment.
What began as a vision of a B&B developed naturally and fatefully into Hopkins Heartland, a breathtaking wedding venue, with genuine values of welcome, acceptance, and service the moment you arrive. We are here to ease your worry, and earn your trust. You have found the place that makes you feel at home, and protects you like family.
Our beliefs of farmland preservation & forging families is coupled with unequalled work & business ethics. We are custodians of a legacy, working together with every couple, becoming part of something larger. Dairy farming in DE will live on forever, one wedding at a time. .
