Love Wins – Triple Reschedule for Lauren + Jacob | Lewes, DE

This couple will always be who we refer to when we are asked about rescheduling & downsizing due to Covid restrictions. Lauren and Jacob re-scheduled their wedding THREE times in 2020. Their original date was Memorial Day weekend, and they finally got to say “I Do!” with a beautiful winter wedding in December. But not without a giant curveball thrown their way 2 weeks before their wedding day. They had to cut their guest list from 150 people to 40. And you know what? They had THE BEST day! We are not sure we have seen a couple have as much fun as these two did, all with 40 of their closest family and friends

Lauren and Jacob met each other through their friend group, and the rest was history! Jacob decided to pop the big question on a regular night in with his girl. While Lauren went into another room to get something, Jacob got ready with the ring in hand for when she stepped back into the room. Lauren said it was “Perfectly simple”.

By the time December got here, Lauren and Jacob were more than ready to be husband and wife. Jacob anxiously paced around the venue all day just ready to say those two words. Lauren was so excited to finally be able to see Jacob standing there at the end of the aisle knowing that man was about to be her husband.

Lauren, like any other girl in love and planning her future, secretly had already picked out Hopkins Heartland for their venue before they were engaged! (this makes our heart melt) She said she saw a Facebook video about the venue and instantly knew it was where she wanted to get married. “Not only is the venue itself gorgeous, but the passion that Ingrid & Corrine have for putting together perfect weddings is unmatched”.

When we asked them what her advice to future couples would be, they responded with “Don’t forget to have fun!” and “Trust your vendors!”. We are so thankful for the trust Lauren and Jacob put in us to make sure they had the wedding of their dreams even with all the hoops and hurdles. Our joy was seeing how much fun they really did have. We could not have asked for a better wedding or couple to end our 2020 wedding season with. Lauren and Jacob, you two reminded us that love always wins.
